Team Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist – $110K & Commission

Our client is a multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Occupational therapists who service  Melbourne's South East. They work with people across the lifespan, providing intervention within their well-resourced gyms and clinic rooms, as well as within the individuals home, school or community. They recognise the importance of team work and clinicans feeling supported within the NDIS setting, and have fantastic structures in place to achieve this. 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist for a Team Lead role within a multidisciplinary clinic in South East Melbourne.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career, and provide supervision and mentorship to junior therapists, as well as playing an active role in ongoing development of the service. You will be responsible for supervising 2-3 junior OT's, and will be supported by another paediatric OT lead, as well as a highly experienced OT manager. 
  
This role offers a varied paediatric caseload, servicing children aged 2-18 years with autism, behavioural difficulties, developmental delay, anxiety/depression and sensory processing difficulties. In this role you will assess and implement strengths-based therapy plans to support children and families to achieve their goals. Treatment will be in individual or group settings in the clinic, or at the local schools and childcare centres. 

This role is open to full time or part time applicants with at least 3 years of experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

About You:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
  • 3 years experience in paediatrics
  • Professional experience and strong commitment to working with children and young people
  • Familiarity with person and family-centered, strength-based approaches
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability 
  • Knowledge of inclusion, cultural sensitivities, and diverse community needs
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Current driver’s license and car
